Job description

You will be responsible for ensuring the health & safety of all customers & staff using the newly renovated Riverside Health Club facilities and providing them with a clean and hygienic environment. A minimum of 1 year experience within the industry, preferably with managerial experience and relevant qualifications (lifeguard, swim teacher, gym instructor) are necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties include but are not limited to;

Primary duties are to assist Health Club Manager in the daily running of the leisure centre, to ensure customer satisfaction is prioritised along with high hygiene standards we have set since reopening, assistance in staff management and administration duties.

· Ensure the smooth running of the Health Club at all times while on duty.

· Cleaning of the premises and the equipment, ensuring that the highest possible

standards of hygiene are maintained.

· Supervision and control of all areas of the Health Club including the

swimming pool, gym, changing rooms and toilets.

· Excellent Communication skills, Ability to work on your own Initiative & also as part of a team.

· Lifeguard duties as required. Supervision of swimming pool users.

· Gym instruction duties as required. Provide demonstrations of how to use

equipment where appropriate.

· Reception duties as required. Handle all calls in a polite and efficient manner.

· Promote leisure centre membership to all members of the public.

· Provide First-Aid when appropriate and record all accidents using the relevantdocumentation.

· Respond to any emergency situations where possible and immediately reportall incidents to management.

· Act as primary point of contact for all Health Club users.

· Adhere to The Park Hotel’s cash handling procedures

· Assist the Health Club Manager as required in the marketing of thefacilities

· Excellent communication skills

· Appropriate uniform to be worn at all times.

· Any other duty that management feels appropriate for you to carry out.

Please note that we need you to have the relevant qualifications for this role so only those that have the required qualifications will be considered for an interview! You need to be a qualified life guard and a swim coach.
